Rapoo MT760L at almost half price: is this wireless mouse actually good?
Nearly 50% off a rechargeable multi-device mouse sounds suspiciously good. We took a close look at the deal — and tell you who should buy it, and who shouldn't.
A properly equipped wireless mouse easily costs twice as much — the Rapoo MT760L is currently going for close to half its regular price. For that money it looks hard to go wrong. Or is it? We looked at the spec sheet, the alternatives and the catches.
What the Rapoo MT760L offers
The MT760L is the large model in Rapoo's multi-mode range, aimed at people who spend the whole day at a desk. The key facts:
- Sensor up to 4,000 DPI, adjustable in steps — plenty for office work, and comfortable headroom for large or high-resolution monitors.
- Multi-device mode: the mouse connects via Bluetooth or the 2.4 GHz USB receiver and switches between several machines at the press of a button — genuinely useful when a laptop and a desktop run side by side.
- Built-in rechargeable battery instead of disposables: it charges via a cable, so you never need to stock up on AA batteries again. Rapoo explicitly markets this as the more sustainable option.
- Large shell: the "L" stands for the bigger body — if your hands are medium to large, it offers a far more relaxed grip than flat travel mice.
How the competition compares
Elsewhere in this price bracket you mostly get basic office mice: battery-powered, single connection mode, no extras. Device switching and a rechargeable battery are features that the well-known Logitech or Microsoft alternatives typically reserve for models at twice the price. If you need their full software integration with programmable gestures, you will pay accordingly — if you "just" want a reliable, quiet everyday mouse with modern conveniences, the current Rapoo price simply buys you more hardware for the money.
The catches
At this price, something has to give:
